Artist Bio
I grew up with crayola and paint in the 1970's where I spent many hours painting pictures of my house, my dog and my family. My mother and father are creative people, so their early influences rubbed off on me. I never pursued art to a degree level because I wanted to be an art historian.

These days crayola and paint still feature in my life. Old habits do die hard. I think pictures made by my own hand is exciting. I recently invested in an Olympus EP1 PEN DSLR camera. It is a very versatile camera, offering many options for photographers of all levels. In fact, it is the ideal choice for the hobbyist. With practice, it becomes easy to use.

When I have taken some photographs, I upload them onto my apple mac. Then I synchronise them onto an ipod, using their photography applications to give my work a more artistic feel. Once done, I synchronise the pictures back onto my mac and use the best ones as the "wallpaper of the month". Or better still, post them on this blog.

I have an MA in the History and Theory of Art. My all-time favourite artist is Manet.

Olympia (1863) by Manet is easily the greatest painting in the world.

Outside of art, I love underground comics and cartoons. I am a big fan of Rina Piccolo's cartoons. She is an amazing cartoonist. She has blown cartooning out of the water and the New Yorker is lucky to have her. I regard her as the best cartoonist since Gary Larson hung up his pen and inks.

My most treasured moment was when Rina Piccolo replied to the fan email I sent via her blog. She really is a truly lovely person and was very excited at my kind words of fandom. I think it is important to let people know how much their work made a difference to your day.

I like dogs. I love fish and chips. I love summer. I like the rain. I like jelly babies. I like cooking. Most of all, I love cups of Morning Breakfast tea. Typical Brit, really.
